Rental Agreements

Overview

Before every rental, OutdoorShare can send the renter a digital Rental Agreement to sign. The signed agreement is stored and attached to the booking record.

Setting up your agreement Go to Settings → Waivers / Agreement. Paste or type your rental terms and conditions. Save. The agreement is immediately available for all new bookings.

Sending the agreement

From a confirmed booking's Task Checklist: Click Send Agreement next to the Rental Agreement step. The renter receives an email with a secure link to review and sign. Once signed, the step shows a green checkmark and the signed timestamp.

You can also copy the agreement link to share manually via text or messaging apps.

What renters see

Renters click the link, read the agreement text, type their name as a digital signature, and submit. They receive a confirmation email with a copy of the signed agreement.

FAQ

Q: Is a digital signature legally binding?

A: In most jurisdictions, yes — provided you have evidence of agreement and an identifiable signature. OutdoorShare records the timestamp and renter email. Consult your legal advisor for jurisdiction-specific advice.

Q: Can I use a different agreement for different listings?

A: Currently, one agreement applies to all listings. Per-listing agreements are on the roadmap.
